*Campus E briefing 10th May. (Pay most attention to this section, so that the whole thing will run smoothly)
7am-7.30am
7am- Meet at black study benches near canteen, where you'll be paired up, and read through this briefing if you haven't =p then set off
spend an average of 10-15 minutes per person met. Before ending, exchange contact numbers
7.30am- meet back at black study benches to take a Samuel-made debrief form, best filled as soon as possible with the recent conversations in your head (no proper debrief, due to lack of time)
Tonight, 9th May at 10pm, there'll be synchronised prayer. So, take this time to stop whatever you're doing to pray for tomorrow's event.
General Guidelines
-Guy to guys, gals to gals, best if they're strangers to you (talk to your close friends about Christ another time)
-Questions you can't answer? Sincerely tell them you can't answer them, or ask a prayer group member nearby for help
-Be polite, do not force stuff
-Always be on the lookout for his/her interests (hobbies, or interest topics eg. Evolution, difference between Catholics and Christians)
-If he/she is a Christian, invite him/her to prayer meetings, check on his/her faith eg. Have you been going to church?
Possible introduction (basically a short befriending, go straight into sharing)
-Hi, is it ok if I sit here and have a chat with you?
-Are you a J1? How do you find JJC so far?
-you're J2? How's preparation for mid years?
-Are you a Christian? Why not? Is it because there's something about Christianity you don't believe in? what is it? then, what do you believe in? oh, i believe that...
These questions are structured such that the person does all the talking, you do all the hearing and answering of questions
ULTIMATELY, try and share the gospel points, about creation, sin, Jesus, salvation. Use gospel points to link, try your best to let him hear the gospel in one sitting =p
At the end, no matter the response, remember it's God who turns the hearts of men, so try your best and do the job of telling them God's message to them, this gospel which has the power to impact lives.
That's it. well, if you all have questions on gospel links, ask tomorrow. Remember, chop chop! don't delay, don't digress. make full use of your time. don't be choosy. I tried to get a tagboard on the blog so we can post instant comments, but i couldn't. well, i hope that what i've wrote is sufficient, and hopefully it wasn't too long-winded =p any problems, let us know. See ya all tomorrow!
